Is There Really a Day Off? Or Do We Work in Other Ways?

Ah, the sweet sound of “It’s the weekend”. Those two glorious days when we’re supposed to kick back, relax, and forget all about the grind. But let’s be honest: do we ever really get a true day off? Or do we just end up working in other ways?

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit lately. You see, I used to think that weekends were for sleeping in, binge-watching TV shows, and maybe squeezing in a few drinks with friends, etc. But somewhere along the line, I realized that even on my supposed “days off,” I was still doing stuff. Whether it’s chores around the house, family errands, catching up on pressing emails and bills, doing my affiliate marketing thing, or my other “side-hustles” or even just planning for some of the week ahead, it seems like the work never really stops. So, let’s talk about what a day off really looks like and why it often feels like we’re still on the clock, just in a different way.
