We’ve all had one of those days where it feels like the whole world is out to get you? Maybe you stubbed your toe getting out of bed, spilled your coffee all over the counter, and then had to deal with traffic that seemed to be specifically engineered to make you late, hitting every red light, etc. By the time you get to work, the small annoyances keep piling up like a bad stack of LP’s on the turntable. The printer jams, emails flood your inbox like a tidal wave, and you can’t seem to find a pen when you need one. It’s like the world is determined to make you lose your “cherub-like demeanor”, as John Pinette used to say.
But here’s the thing: If you’re in the right place, mentally and physically, those little irritations don’t bother you as much. In fact, they can seem downright insignificant.
